Summary: Remote patient monitoring (RPM) may have little to no impact on HbA1c levels for patients with diabetes and/or hypertension, and may lead to a slight reduction in systolic blood pressure with questionable clinical significance. Additionally, it may have a small negative effect on the physical component of health-related quality of life.

A Systematic Review of School Teleconsultation: Implications for Research and Practice

Summary: Consultation was formally introduced in school settings during the 1960s, with systematic review occurring approximately 40 years ago. The use of teleconsultation has been increasingly adopted by school consultants to provide support to students, families, and educators. This systematic review demonstrates that teleconsultation can serve as an effective contemporary medium for delivering school psychology services to students and educators.

Examining models of psychologists' telepsychology use during the COVID-19 pandemic: A national cross-sectional study

Summary: The study applied the theory of reasoned action and technology acceptance model to psychologists' telepsychology use during the COVID-19 pandemic. Results showed that both models had excellent fit in explaining psychologists' telepsychology use, with attitudes and subjective norms being key factors in intention to use telepsychology, and perceived usefulness and ease of use being associated with attitudes towards telepsychology. Efforts to promote telepsychology use could benefit from addressing attitudes, subjective norms, and ease of use perceptions.

Healthcare providers' acceptance of telemedicine and preference of modalities during COVID-19 pandemics in a low-resource setting: An extended UTAUT model

Summary: This study found that effort expectancy and attitude were significant predictors of healthcare professionals' acceptance of telemedicine. Attitude toward using telemedicine systems was also highly influenced by performance expectancy, self-efficacy, and facilitating conditions. Effort expectancy and attitude were also significant mediators in predicting users' acceptance of telemedicine.

Uptake of Tele-Rehabilitation in Finland amongst Rehabilitation Professionals during the COVID-19 Pandemic

Summary: The study found that during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, 52% of all participating therapists took up tele-rehabilitation with their clients, and 46% of professionals who carried out tele-rehabilitation during the pandemic planned to continue using it regularly or probably after the pandemic. There were clear differences between professions, with psychotherapists more likely to use tele-rehabilitation during and after the pandemic compared to other professional groups.
