TWDM-Assisted Active Quadrature Demodulation of Fiber-Optic Fabry-Perot Acoustic Sensor Network

Summary: This article proposes a new TWDM active quadrature demodulation technique for fiber-optic acoustic sensor network, which achieves fast and programmable wavelength tuning with a MG-Y laser, maintaining high sensitivity and simple and flexible feedback control logic. This technique can be easily applied to sensors with different cavity lengths and enables multi-point sound detection and sound source localization system.

Summary: This study demonstrates a novel micro-force sensor for examining biological samples, fabricated using femtosecond-laser-induced two-photon polymerization (TPP) technique, with ultrahigh force sensitivity and a miniaturized design. The sensor successfully measured the Young's modulus of different materials, has the smallest force-detection limit comparable to an atomic force microscope, and opens new avenues for high-precision biomedical and material science examination.
