A thermoelectric generator comprising selenium-doped bismuth telluride on flexible carbon cloth with n-type thermoelectric properties

Minsu Kim et al.

Summary: Carbon cloth was used as a flexible substrate to synthesize bismuth telluride particles with added selenium for improved thermoelectric performance. The maximum power factor reached 1300 mu W/mK(2) for the 30% Se-doped sample, demonstrating the potential of carbon cloth substrate for low temperature range applications.

Enhancement of Bi2O2Se thermoelectric power factor via Nb doping

Minsu Kim et al.

Summary: Doping Bi2O2Se with Nb can increase its electrical conductivity but decrease the Seebeck coefficient. As the niobium content increases, the electrical conductivity increases, and the maximum power factor reaches the highest value.

Thermoelectric Generator Using Polyaniline-Coated Sb2Se3/β-Cu2Se Flexible Thermoelectric Films

Minsu Kim et al.

Summary: Sb2Se3 and beta-Cu2Se nanowires were successfully synthesized using hydrothermal reaction and water evaporation-induced self-assembly methods, with their morphologies confirmed using various analytical techniques. Coating the nanowires with polyaniline (PANI) improved their electrical conductivity, resulting in enhanced thermoelectric performance in flexible films. The combination of inorganic thermoelectric materials and flexible polymers showed promise in generating power for wearable or portable devices.

Bridging experiment and theory: enhancing the electrical conductivities of soft-templated niobium-doped mesoporous titania films

Marvin Frisch et al.

Summary: Theoretical calculations show a strong correlation between electrical conductivity and doping concentration in transition-metal doped titania. A combined theoretical and experimental approach was used to predict the relative phase stability and electrical conductivity in niobium-doped titania as a model system, paving the way for the development of materials with improved electrical properties.
