Experimental and numerical investigation of tool-part interaction on the process-induced distortions in composite structures

Summary: Experimental tool-part interaction was conducted with FBG sensors adhesively bonded to the thin tool, quantifying interfacial properties parameters theoretically. The results showed that sliding friction dominates after a critical value of interfacial shear stress is reached at a certain time in the cool-down stage.
