Mild Magnetic Hyperthermia-Activated Innate Immunity for Liver Cancer Therapy

Jiong Pan et al.

Summary: Magnetic hyperthermia therapy using specially designed composite magnetic nanoparticles showed high efficacy in inhibiting liver cancer cell proliferation and tumor growth by controlling mild hyperthermia at 43-44 degrees Celsius. This treatment also activated natural killer cells and suppressed tumor growth by upregulating UL16-binding proteins, providing a promising approach for liver cancer treatment via induced NK-cell-related antitumor immunity.
