An Improved Mean Imputation Clustering Algorithm for Incomplete Data

Hong Shi et al.

Summary: This study proposes an improved clustering algorithm for handling incomplete data sets caused by random noise, data loss, data acquisition limitations, etc. The algorithm divides the data set into two sets based on missing and non-missing values, and uses mean imputation to fill the missing attribute values. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the algorithm in clustering.

Dynamic updating approximations of local generalized multigranulation neighborhood rough set

Weihua Xu et al.

Summary: The approximation space in rough set theory is crucial for handling uncertainties. The local rough set model, as an effective approach, improves learning efficiency by avoiding unnecessary information granule calculations. This paper investigates the dynamic approximation update mechanism for multigranulation data and proposes corresponding dynamic update algorithms based on the local generalized multigranulation rough set model.

An incremental learning mechanism for object classification based on progressive fuzzy three-way concept

Kehua Yuan et al.

Summary: This paper proposes an incremental learning mechanism based on progressive fuzzy three-way concept for object classification in dynamic environments. By defining object and attribute learning operators to obtain fuzzy three-way concept and considering the progressive process of concept learning, a progressive fuzzy three-way concept and its corresponding concept space are learned. The effectiveness of object classification mechanism and dynamic update mechanism based on the progressive concept space is verified through numerical experiments, and an incremental learning mechanism is designed for dynamic increased data.

Double-quantitative multigranulation rough fuzzy set based on logical operations in multi-source decision systems

Xiuwei Chen et al.

Summary: This study proposes six novel double-quantitative multigranulation rough fuzzy set models, which consider both absolute and relative information using logical operators to define four decision regions. A weather example is used to illustrate the data division, and an experiment demonstrates that the models outperform the mean fusion method in decision-making.

Image blurring and sharpening inspired three-way clustering approach

Anwar Shah et al.

Summary: Three-way clustering is a novel clustering algorithm that divides clustering results into core, blurry outer, and non-object areas, suitable for situations with unclear boundaries. Its characteristic of constructing clusters without the need for determining thresholds has been proven to exhibit superior performance in data clustering and open-world classification applications.

A novel clustering ensemble model based on granular computing

Li Xu et al.

Summary: A novel clustering ensemble model based on granular computing is proposed to improve the quality of base clustering results and enhance the consistency with the structure of real data by optimizing the generation of elements for the co-association matrix. Experiments show that the proposed model enhances the quality of final clustering result and demonstrates good expandability compared to traditional single clustering algorithms and popular clustering ensemble methods.
