Integrated fabrication of a high strain InGaAs/GaAs quantum well structure under variable temperature and improvement of properties using MOCVD technology

Quhui Wang et al.

Summary: The InGaAs/GaAs quantum well structure was prepared using a new growth method with variable temperature to improve the properties of strained materials and provide technical support for semiconductor laser performance optimization. High-quality multiple quantum wells were grown with a tailored structure to achieve maximal properties.

Generation of enhanced stability of SnO/In(OH)3/InP for photocatalytic water splitting by SnO protection layer

Jiali Dong et al.

Summary: The study demonstrates that the stability and activity of InP-based catalyst can be effectively enhanced by applying an anti-corrosion SnO layer and In(OH)(3) transition layer, which leads to increased hydrogen production rate under visible light illumination.

Oxygen evolution reaction (OER) mechanism under alkaline and acidic conditions

Qiuhua Liang et al.

Summary: Density functional theory (DFT) simulations of the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) are important for understanding the limitations of water splitting, but the differences between experimental conditions under alkaline and calculations under acidic environments require a pH-dependent correction factor. This paper derives a theory to simulate the OER based on the alkaline reaction mechanism and compares mechanisms for alkaline and acidic OER catalysis, explaining the differences between experimental and calculated results.
