Genome-Wide Transcriptomic Identification and Functional Insight of Lily WRKY Genes Responding to Botrytis Fungal Disease

Shipra Kumari et al.

Summary: Genome-wide transcriptome analysis of Lilium longiflorum using RNA-Seq identified valuable genes responding to biotic stresses, particularly WRKY transcription factors. Among the LlWRKY genes, 5 were significantly upregulated in response to biotic stress, demonstrating their potential as biotic stress-responsive genes in both in vivo and in vitro conditions. The expression patterns of LlWRKY genes varied in response to different stress conditions, developmental stages, and tissues, providing structural and molecular insights for genetic engineering in Lilium against Botrytis disease.

Elucidating the mechanism of MaGWD1-mediated starch degradation cooperatively regulated by MaMADS36 and MaMADS55 in banana

Juhua Liu et al.

Summary: This study elucidates the molecular mechanism underlying the cooperative regulation of MaGWD1-mediated starch degradation by MaMADS36 and MaMADS55. The findings contribute to our understanding of how transcription factors regulate starch degradation in banana fruit and have potential implications for improving fruit quality and supporting the banana industry.
