Heat transfer treatment of nanomaterial with considering turbulator effects

Xue-De Luan et al.

Summary: Multi tapes were recommended as a promising technique for enhancing cross section flow in the current context. By adding copper oxide nano powders, the type of carrier fluid was changed and applying tapes and nanoparticles in the pipe can increase the residence time and enhance cooling rate. The pressure loss and S-gen,S-f increase with the growth of b and Re, while the increase of b leads to a reduction in S-gen,S-th.

Modeling for solidification of paraffin equipped with nanoparticles utilizing fins

Xin Liu et al.

Summary: The freezing process of paraffin within a system with fins was simulated, using CuO nano-powders to enhance conductivity. The presence of fins strengthened conduction, reducing freezing time, with the minimum required time being 65 minutes. Buoyancy had no significant impact on the freezing phenomena, but related terms were considered in equations.

Experimental analysis of exergy efficiency and entropy generation of diamond/water nanofluids flow in a thermosyphon flat plate solar collector

A. M. Alklaibi et al.

Summary: The experimental results demonstrate that the parameters are strongly influenced by changes in solar irradiation. The highest collector thermal efficiency is achieved by using 1.0 vol% ND/water nanofluid, showing a 12.7% increase compared to pure water. Furthermore, the study reveals that the nanofluid is more sensitive to entropy generation than water as the working fluid.

Comprehensive evaluation of flat plate and parabolic dish solar collectors' performance using different operating fluids and MWCNT nanofluid in different climatic conditions

Ping Ouyang et al.

Summary: This study comprehensively examines the performance of two solar collector systems in Beijing and Tehran, finding that both systems perform better in Tehran. Additionally, the exergy performance of the solar collector in Tehran is better than in Beijing during months of lower exergy efficiency. The Levelized Cost of Energy varies between the dish collector in Tehran with water and the flat plate collector in Beijing with Dowtherm Q, with significant differences when using alternative working fluids like MWCNT nanofluid.

Numerical study on swirl cooling flow, heat transfer and stress characteristics based on fluid-structure coupling method under different swirl chamber heights and Reynolds numbers

Hong-Wei Li et al.

Summary: In this study, a three-dimensional swirl cooling model was established to simulate flow, heat transfer and stress characteristics. The temperature distribution of blade solid region was found to be closely related to swirl cooling effect, with thermal load having a significant impact on blade stress conditions. The comprehensive heat transfer factor should be considered when selecting swirl chamber height, and Reynolds number should be carefully chosen to avoid high aerodynamic losses.
