The reaction layer composed of Al3Nb was formed at the Al6.21Cu/Nb interface, effectively impeding the diffusion of Ti and Al elements.

Effect of parameters on microstructure and mechanical property of dissimilar joints between 316L stainless steel and GH909 alloy by laser welding

Influence of the groove shape on welding residual stresses in P92/SUS304 dissimilar metal butt-welded joints

The butt-welded joint with X-groove was suggested to be superior in reducing high tensile residual stress compared to the joint with single V-groove.
