SWCNT network evolution of PEDOT:PSS/SWCNT composites for thermoelectric application

Shasha Wei et al.

Summary: By systematically studying the evolution of SWCNT network structure in PEDOT:PSS/SWCNT composites based on TE properties and AFM observations, it was found that the TE performance can be divided into three regions with the increase of SWCNT loading: an S-shape change of electrical conductivity in Region I, a gradual increase in Seebeck coefficient in Region II, and almost independent TE performances in Region III.

Synergistically Boosting Thermoelectric Performance of PEDOT:PSS/SWCNT Composites via the Ion-Exchange Effect and Promoting SWCNT Dispersion by the Ionic Liquid

Wenjiang Deng et al.

Summary: This study demonstrates the synergistic enhancement of thermoelectric properties of PEDOT:PSS/SWCNT composites by ionic liquid. The ionic liquid plays a crucial role in inducing phase separation of PEDOT:PSS, promoting a linear quinoid conformation of PEDOT, and dispersing SWCNT, resulting in a significantly higher power factor of the composites.
