A Series of Mesoporous Rare-Earth Metal-Organic Frameworks Constructed from Organic Secondary Building Units

Xiu-Liang Lv et al.

Summary: Further development of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) requires the establishment of hierarchical interactions within the framework. In this study, mesoporous rare-earth (RE) MOFs were constructed from an unusual 12-connected pi-stacked pyrene secondary building unit (SBU) and a typical 12-connected RE6 cluster. The design and synthesis of frameworks constructed from various linked building units were highlighted in this work.

Impacts of chitosan oligosaccharide (COS) on angiogenic activities

Xiuhong Huang et al.

Summary: It has been shown that chitosan oligosaccharide (COS) has inhibitory effects on angiogenesis activities of human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs), especially at high concentrations and polymerization degrees. However, low concentrations and suitable polymerization degrees of COS have little significant impact on HUVECs, showing a dose-dependent effect.

Hollow molecularly imprinted fluorescent sensor using europium complex as functional monomer for the detection of trace 2,4,6-trichlorophenol in real water samples

Bo Hu et al.

Summary: Hollow molecularly imprinted fluorescent polymers (@MIPs) were developed for the selective detection of 2,4,6-trichlorophenol (2,4,6-TCP), with a highly luminescent europium complex serving as both fluorophores and functional monomers. The @MIPs showed good selectivity and anti-interference performance, with the potential for selective detection of chlorophenols under low concentration.
