Influence of different phytoremediation on soil microbial diversity and community composition in saline-alkaline land

Fengxia Li et al.

Summary: Soil salinization is a main environmental factor impacting plant growth, with phytoremediation being a key method to improve saline-alkali soil. Different plants treatments can lead to significant changes in soil physicochemical properties, enzyme activity, and microbial community composition. MX and YM were identified as the best choices for remediation of saline-alkali soil.

Genome-wide analysis of MYB transcription factors and their responses to salt stress in Casuarina equisetifolia

Yujiao Wang et al.

Summary: MYB transcription factors are DNA binding proteins involved in plant growth, secondary metabolism, stress response, and hormone signal transduction. In this study, 182 MYB transcription factors were identified from the Casuarina equisetifolia genome, divided into different subgroups based on phylogenetic analysis and gene structure. Analysis of conserved motifs and gene structures revealed similar characteristics among CeqMYB members, with specific amino acid residues present in the R2 and R3 domains. 32 MYB genes were further studied for their response to salt stress, showing differential regulation under different salt treatments. Seven genes were identified to be involved in salt stress response, with CeqMYB4 potentially playing a key role in this process.

Multiple Functions of MYB Transcription Factors in Abiotic Stress Responses

Xiaopei Wang et al.

Summary: Plants face a more volatile environment due to their immobility, prompting the development of efficient mechanisms to adapt to stress. MYB transcription factors, a widespread family in plants, play critical roles in plant development and responses to stresses. Multiple studies have shown that MYB proteins are involved in diverse roles in responses to abiotic stresses, but their regulatory mechanism is still not well understood.
