Determinants of the access to remote specialised services provided by national sarcoma reference centres

Yohan Fayet et al.

Summary: Spatial inequalities in cancer management have been demonstrated, with some clinical populations at higher risk of initial management without access to specialized services. Social deprivation does not impact early access to sarcoma specialized services on remote platforms. The distance to reference centers slightly affects early access to specialized diagnosis and MTB discussion, with the influence being less significant than clinical factors.

Socio-economic factors do not affect overall survival in soft tissue sarcoma when patients treated at a single high-volume center

Boryana M. Eastman et al.

Summary: Socioeconomic factors were not significantly associated with overall survival in patients with soft tissue sarcoma treated at a single high-volume center. Higher tumor grade, tumor size, and involvement of lymph nodes were significantly associated with overall survival.
