Objective characterization of hip pain levels during walking by combining quantitative electroencephalography with machine learning

Atsushi Kimura et al.

Summary: This study developed a system to objectively assess pain levels in walking individuals by recording their qEEG data and analyzing it through machine learning. Analysis showed significant differences in brain wave amplitudes among subjects with different levels of hip pain, and the machine learning approach could accurately recognize pain levels with a 79.6% accuracy rate.
