The ParentingWell Learning Collaborative Feasibility Study: Training Adult Mental Health Service Practitioners in a Family-Focused Practice Approach

Summary: This study found that the ParentingWell Learning Collaborative model is feasible and impactful in supporting mental health practitioners in implementing the family-focused ParentingWell practice approach. Practitioners were engaged and highly satisfied with the program, successfully applying the skills, tools, and resources to their practice, resulting in impacts at personal, practice, and organizational levels.

Preventive interventions in offspring of parents with mental illness: a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials

Summary: Psychosocial interventions targeting offspring of parents with mental disorders showed significant efficacy in reducing the incidence of mental illness in children and decreasing internalizing symptoms in the year following the intervention. The main therapeutic approaches were cognitive-behavioural therapy and psychoeducation.
