Applications of the SR4G Transgenic Zebrafish Line for Biomonitoring of Stress-Disrupting Compounds: A Proof-of-Concept Study

Amin Nozari et al.

Summary: Transgenic zebrafish larvae were used as a model to study stress responses in exposure to environmental pollutants, revealing a positive linear correlation between cortisol levels and eGFP mRNA levels, and predictive models were established to predict stress response inhibition. The findings support the use of SR4G transgenic larvae as an in vivo biomonitoring model to screen chemicals for their stress-disrupting potentials.
