Summary: Polymeric micelles are widely used as carriers for chemotherapeutic drugs due to their easy preparation and versatile properties. Controlled drug release using internal or external stimuli can improve the safety of drug delivery processes. Research on using ionizing radiation as a trigger for drug release from micelles loaded with photosensitizer and drugs showed that release occurred under radiation exposure, with the exact mechanism remaining unclear. Additionally, different drugs showed varied release profiles under radiation exposure.
