Modeling the epidemiological impact of the UNAIDS 2025 targets to end AIDS as a public health threat by 2030

John Stover et al.

Summary: The study used mathematical models to estimate the impact of achieving the new program targets for UNAIDS by 2025 to eliminate AIDS as a public health threat by 2030. Results showed that achieving the targets would significantly reduce new HIV infections and AIDS-related deaths, but lack of progress on societal enablers and disruptions from COVID-19 could affect these achievements.

Developing a reference protocol for structured expert elicitation in health-care decision-making: a mixed-methods study

Laura Bojke et al.

Summary: In the healthcare field, a protocol for structured expert elicitation has been established to inform decision-making processes. The protocol aims to provide clarity on collecting and using expert judgements, address deficiencies in existing methods, determine preferred elicitation approaches, and methods for experts to express uncertainty. Additionally, different considerations may be required for decision-makers outside health technology assessment to account for various contextual factors.
