Crystal structure, spectra analysis and dielectric characteristics of Ba4M28/3Ti18O54 (M= La, Pr, Nd, and Sm) microwave ceramics

Geng Wang et al.

Summary: High dielectric constant ceramics were synthesized via solid-state reaction, with decreasing rare-earth ion radius leading to lower dielectric constant. The increase in quality factor was associated with higher packing fraction and narrower Raman vibration modes, while negative shift in TCF was related to decreased TiO6 octahedral tilt angle. Infrared reflection spectroscopy indicated dominant infrared vibration modes in microwave dielectric polarization.

Improved sinterability and temperature stability in Zn2+/Ti4+-co-substituted CaAl2O4 ceramics and their 5G antenna applications

Ding Hao Jin et al.

Summary: The study prepared CaAl2-2xZnxTixO4 (x = 0.05, 0.10, 0.15) ceramics with low permittivity using a standard solid-state reaction method. By partially co-substituting (Zn0.5Ti0.5)(3+) for Al3+, the sintering temperature of CaAl2O4 ceramics was effectively lowered and the negative temperature coefficient of resonant frequency was modified towards zero. The optimum microwave dielectric properties were achieved at x = 0.15, making the ceramics good candidates for 5G antenna applications.

Summary: Ce-2[Zr1-x(Mg1/3Sb2/3)x](3)(MoO4)(9) ceramics were prepared by the traditional solid-state method, and a single phase was obtained at sintering temperatures ranging from 700 to 850 degrees C. The crystal structure refinement was investigated using Rietveld refinement method, and the dielectric properties of Ce-2[Zr-0.94(Mg1/3Sb2/3)(0.06)](3)(MoO4)(9) ceramics were found to be excellent. The correlations between chemical bond parameters and microwave dielectric properties were analyzed using P-V-L theory.

New Design of Miniature C-Band Substrate Integrated Waveguide Bandpass Filters Using Ceramic Material

Ahmed Rhbanou et al.

Summary: This study introduces new structures and methods for designing miniature third-order substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) bandpass filters on high-permittivity ceramic substrates for the C-band. The feasibility of these filters was evaluated using a 3D electromagnetic (EM) simulator. SIW filters offer good quality factors and electrical performances, along with integration capabilities and low manufacturing costs. Ceramic materials with high relative permittivity and low dielectric losses are suitable for designing passive devices, particularly for applications requiring high temperature stability such as satellite communications.
