Correlation Between Serum Tumor Marker Levels and Connective Tissue Disease-Related Interstitial Lung Disease

Yunqi Bao et al.

Summary: This study aimed to explore the relationship between serum tumor markers and CTD-ILD, and evaluate the clinical value of tumor markers in investigating ILD in CTD patients. Higher levels of CA153 and CYFRA21-1 were associated with an increased risk of developing CTD-ILD, indicating their potential use as biomarkers for detecting CTD-ILD in clinical practice.

The significance of myositis autoantibodies in idiopathic inflammatory myopathy concomitant with interstitial lung disease

Hung-Ling Huang et al.

Summary: This study identified factors associated with interstitial lung disease (ILD) in patients with idiopathic inflammatory myopathy (IIM) based on the latest classification and recent advances in autoantibody serology. The presence of mechanic's hand, older age of onset, and specific autoantibodies were significantly associated with ILD in IIM patients. The study results may help physicians in timely screening and monitoring pulmonary function in high-risk groups like those with overlap myositis (OM) and dermatomyositis (DM).

Summary: The study revealed a strong correlation between elevated serum CEA levels and the severity of RP-ILD in CADM patients, with higher CEA levels serving as an independent risk factor for RP-ILD and poor prognosis.

Summary: The study aimed to evaluate the clinical significance of CYFRA21-1 in MDA5-DM-ILD patients and found that it could be a useful serum indicator associated with the occurrence of A/SIP in MDA5-DM-ILD. Additionally, it was associated with a poor survival in MDA5-DM-ILD patients.
