Rheological investigation of the viscoelastic thixotropic behavior of synthesized polyethylene glycol-modified polyacrylamide hydrogels using different accelerators

Ijaz Ali et al.

Summary: This study focused on the synthesis of uniform and large macroporous polyethylene glycol-modified polyacrylamide hydrogels using different accelerators and investigated their rheological properties. The results showed that the hydrogels synthesized through thermal activation exhibited more elastic properties compared to those synthesized by other methods. The different routes of synthesis led to hydrogels with distinct morphologies, suitable for various applications in industries such as cosmetics and toxic material removal.
