Using multiobjective optimization models to establish healthy diets in Spain following Mediterranean standards

Monica Hernandez et al.

Summary: The aim of the study is to explore and provide alternative options to the current Spanish diet that are palatable, nutritious, and adhere to Mediterranean standards, while also staying close to the current population's eating patterns within budget constraints. Multi-indicator design and assessment of sustainable diet plans

Luca Benvenuti et al.

Summary: This study analyzes a set of diet plans that are nutritionally adequate, healthy, affordable, and environmentally friendly, designing multiple menus to balance different goals while ensuring nutritional adequacy. Results show that cheaper menus have a larger environmental impact, but a trade-off can be made between carbon and water footprints while keeping the menu cost unchanged.
