Artificial neural networking (ANN) analysis for heat and entropy generation in flow of non-Newtonian fluid between two rotating disks

Tie-Hong Zhao et al.

Summary: Mixed convection is a heat transport mechanism in thermodynamic systems that involves the motion of fluid particles influenced by both gravity and external forces. This study focuses on the mixed convective flow of Ree-Eyring fluid between two rotating disks, considering the effects of porosity and velocity slip. The energy equation is modeled with various factors such as heat generation/absorption, dissipation, radiative heat flux, and Joule heating. The results obtained are compared with previous studies, showing good agreement. Interesting physical phenomena such as skin friction and heat transfer are also numerically calculated.

The hydrodynamics of self-rolling locomotion driven by the flexible pectoral fins of 3-D bionic dolphin

Zhihan Li et al.

Summary: This paper presents the realization of novel autonomous rolling performance using the pectoral fins of a 3-D bionic dolphin. By employing numerical simulations and analyzing the fluid flow characteristics, it is demonstrated that the self-rolling maneuverability can be achieved by adjusting the parameter ratios. The study findings show that increasing the parameter ratios improves the rolling efficiency and angular velocity in the steady state.

The new soliton solutions for long and short-wave interaction system

Sayyed Masood Zekavatmand et al.

Summary: The paper aims to discover modern soliton solutions to a long and short-wave interaction system using extended rational sine-cosine and rational sinh-cosh methods. By reorganizing the equations and using Maple software to find unknown coefficients, new soliton solutions for the equation are obtained. The results demonstrate that the generated soliton solutions exhibit brightness, kink type, brightness periodicity, and dark solutions. 3-D figures are provided to illustrate the solutions, and computational results indicate the superiority of the method compared to other methods in the literature.
