Relationship between Indoor High Frequency Size Distribution of Ultrafine Particles and Their Metrics in a University Site

Fabio Boccuni et al.

Summary: This study focused on real-time high-frequency UFPs particle size distribution in an indoor site, revealing that accumulation mode (AM) of UFPs during working days contributes significantly to the total particle number concentration, showing a high correlation with polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) contribution. Additionally, high indoor TPNC values were recorded during rush hours, potentially due to outdoor influences from anthropogenic activities.

An integrated and multi-technique approach to characterize airborne graphene flakes in the workplace during production phases

Francesca Tombolini et al.

Summary: This study highlights the importance of integrating different characterization techniques to describe the potential release of airborne graphene flakes in a graphene processing and production research laboratory. Real-time measurements and personal sampling were used to show the potential release of graphene during the production and processing process. By applying electron microscopy techniques and Raman spectroscopy, the morphology, chemical composition, and crystal structure of rare airborne graphene flakes were investigated, providing valuable information for improving risk management strategies in research and industrial laboratories.
