Efficient detection of aortic stenosis using morphological characteristics of cardiomechanical signals and heart rate variability parameters

Arash Shokouhmand et al.

Summary: Recent research has shown promising results for the detection of aortic stenosis using cardio-mechanical signals. The study developed a framework based on SCG and GCG morphologies with highly-optimized algorithms to extract features for AS diagnosis, demonstrating a high confidence in AS detection. Analysis of the feature space revealed that the GCG time-domain feature space holds higher consistency with the presence of AS.

Summary: This study investigated the impact of acute myocardial ischemia and reperfusion on cardiac kinetic energy, with multiple parameters recorded by SCG. The experimental results showed significant deterioration in cardiac function during myocardial ischemia, which improved after reperfusion.
