SO2-Induced Alkali Resistance of FeVO4/TiO2 Catalysts for NOx Reduction

Zhiping Si et al.

Summary: This study reveals the phenomenon of K migration induced by SO2 on K-poisoned catalysts, which buffers the effect of alkali poison and restores activity, leading to an increased conversion of NOx. The sulfuration process helps to release the active sites poisoned by K2O, thereby enhancing the catalyst activity.

Speeding up low-temperature SCR with reactants-coupling dual catalytic sites

Xiaolei Hu et al.

Summary: This study tackles the issue of insufficient catalytic efficiency of SCR at low temperatures by designing a Ce-W/TiO2 catalyst with reactants-coupling dual catalytic sites. The results reveal that W and Ce are highly dispersed to form dual catalytic sites, which enhance NH3 and NO adsorption and facilitate the reaction between them. The Ce-W synergy boosts the SCR performance at low temperatures by promoting the activation of O-2.

Multipollutant Control (MPC) of Flue Gas from Stationary Sources Using SCR Technology: A Critical Review

Dong Wang et al.

Summary: The emission of gaseous pollutants from fossil fuel combustion poses a serious environmental challenge, with the use of SCR systems to convert pollutants into harmless substances highlighted as a practical approach. However, developing catalysts suitable for large-scale commercialization remains challenging, and the efficiency of simultaneous elimination depends on catalyst composition and flue gas parameters.

Promoting effect of Sb on the selective catalytic reduction of NO with NH3 over CeVO4 catalyst

Gui-lin Wu et al.

Summary: A series of Sb-doped CeVO4 samples were synthesized by hydrothermal method and Sb2CeVO4 showed superior NH3-SCR activity and excellent SO2 tolerance compared to other catalysts. The presence of Sb species in Sb2CeVO4 improved surface acidity and reducibility, as well as generating more surface adsorbed oxygen species, leading to enhanced SCR activity through Langmuir-Hinshelwood mechanism.
