A dual-signal self-checking photoelectrochemical immunosensor based on the sole composite of MIL-101(Cr) and CdSe quantum dots for the detection of α-fetoprotein

Xiaolin Zhong et al.

Summary: Designing a dual photocurrent signals immunosensor for the detection of alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) is important but challenging. By utilizing MIL-101 (Cr) and CdSe QDs, the sensor can detect AFP quantitatively and estimate the accuracy and reliability of the test results. The sensor shows acceptable stability, reproducibility, specificity, and feasibility for detecting AFP in human serum, with broad prospects in early clinical diagnosis.

Electrochemical immunosensor using artificial enzyme-induced metallization for the ultra-sensitive detection of alpha fetoprotein

Xiaochen Liao et al.

Summary: An innovative artificial enzyme-induced metallization process was proposed to enhance the sensitivity and detection limit of an electrochemical immunosensor, resulting in the successful preparation of Au@CeO2 YSNs. The metal dissolution by electrochemistry led to a proportional relationship between peak current and AFP concentration, providing a novel approach for early screening of AFP.

Facile engineered polymeric microdevice via co-coupling of phenylboronic acid and Protein A for oriented antibody immobilization enables substantial signal enhancement for an enhanced fluorescence immunoassay

Jianguo Chang et al.

Summary: The study introduces a fluorescence immunoassay method based on co-coupling for detecting AFP. By immobilizing antibodies through co-coupling of phenylboronic acid and Protein A, the immunoassay achieves oriented antibody fixation. The recorded fluorescence intensity is proportional to AFP concentration after immunoreaction, demonstrating high sensitivity, specificity, and reliability.
