Direct and Indirect Somatic Embryogenesis Induction in Camellia oleifera Abel

Ming Zhang et al.

Summary: In this study, a high-efficiency system for direct and indirect somatic embryogenesis (ISE) in Camellia oleifera was established, with successful regeneration of intact plantlets via SE. Different genotypes showed no significant differences in SE induction efficiency. The improved SE protocol will benefit mass propagation and genetic manipulation in C. oleifera.
