Effects of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi on frond antimony enrichment, morphology, and proteomics in Pteris cretica var. nervosa during antimony phytoremediation

Summary: The study demonstrates that arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi can mitigate the impact of antimony on P. var. nervosa plants and increase the accumulation level of antimony in plants. Proteomics analysis revealed changes in proteins with different functions during antimony exposure, which can be moderated by inoculation with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi.

Evaluation of the metal(loid)s phytoextraction potential of wild plants grown in three antimony mines in southern China

Summary: Wild plant species from three deserted antimony (Sb) mine areas in southern China were collected and analyzed for metal concentrations in plants and soil. The plants were classified into three categories based on their tendency to accumulate metals, with some showing high potential to absorb antimony from contaminated soil for phytoremediation purposes. Although the soil in the mining area contained toxic levels of substances, many plant species did not exhibit clear signs of toxicity.
