Priming with salicylic acid, β-carotene and tryptophan modulates growth, phenolics and essential oil components of Ocimum basilicum L. grown under salinity

Halime Kahveci et al.

Summary: The study focused on how seed priming with certain compounds could alleviate the adverse effects of salinity stress on plants. It was found that priming treatments partially mitigated the negative impact of salinity on plant growth and increased plant resistance under stress conditions.
