Improved Path Planning for Indoor Patrol Robot Based on Deep Reinforcement Learning

Jianfeng Zheng et al.

Summary: This paper proposes an improved deep reinforcement learning algorithm based on PTZ image information to address the issues of poor exploration ability and convergence speed in the navigation task of an indoor patrol robot under specified routes. The algorithm utilizes symmetric image information and target position information as input, robot's speed as output, and tests on a circular route with boundary. By designing an improved reward and punishment function, the algorithm improves convergence speed and optimizes the path for the robot to plan a safer path while avoiding obstacles.

Context-Consistent Generation of Indoor Virtual Environments Based on Geometry Constraints

Yu He et al.

Summary: This article proposes a system that can automatically generate immersive and interactive virtual reality scenes by considering real-world geometric constraints. The system is able to select and place context-consistent virtual objects in the virtual scene by learning object association relations and layout patterns from indoor scene configurations. The system achieves high resemblance to real environments and maintains the sense of presence for users in their VR experiences.

Heuristic search for one-to-many shortest path queries

Roni Stern et al.

Summary: In this paper, we study the One-to-Many Shortest Path Problem (OMSPP) and analyze two fundamental heuristic search approaches: searching for the k goals one at a time, or searching for all k goals as one compound goal. We propose several ways to implement kA* and characterize the conditions on the available heuristics to ensure an admissible solution. We compare the runtime and memory requirements of kxA* and kA*, and experimentally compare the approaches on two representative domains, providing empirical support for our theoretical analysis.

Manifestation of lattice topology data model for indoor navigation path based on the 3D building environment

Syed Ahmad Fadhli Syed Abdul Rahman et al.

Summary: This paper proposed a method to evaluate a 3D indoor topology network called a lattice topology data model (LTDM) for generating floor-level paths in a 3D multipatch model. The LTDM requires the integration of BIM model geometric information to identify indoor space and generate indoor networks, leading to the generation of extra paths reflecting real-life situations. The implementation of LTDM was shown to produce an excellent topology data network.
