Effect of ionic strength on methylene blue sorption onto macroporous resins: a comprehensive study

Gulsum Ozcelik et al.

Summary: In this study, the adsorption behaviors of amberlite XAD-7 and XAD-16 for the removal of methylene blue from aqueous solutions were investigated. The optimum conditions were determined using the response surface approach, and the effects of fluoride and chloride on the adsorption process were also studied. The results revealed that the adsorption system was a chemisorption process.

Endophytic Community Composition and Genetic-Enzymatic Features of Cultivable Bacteria in Vaccinium myrtillus L. in Forests of the Baltic-Nordic Region

Ingrida Mazeikiene et al.

Summary: This study revealed that plants, including bilberry, have endophytic bacterial communities regardless of their growth locations, with greater diversity observed under harsh conditions. The analysis of samples from Finland and Norway identified differences in bacterial families, with Bacillaceae, Paenibacillaceae, and Micrococcaceae being the most common. These findings highlight the potential importance of endophytic bacteria in promoting plant growth and health benefits.

Application of Green Synthesized MMT/Ag Nanocomposite for Removal of Methylene Blue from Aqueous Solution

Nisha Choudhary et al.

Summary: Textile industries are the largest consumers of synthetic dyestuff compounds, making them a major contributor to organic contaminants in the environment. Conventional treatment methods are not effective in removing dyestuff materials from water systems, highlighting the need for more efficient and environmentally friendly approaches. The development of a montmorillonite/silver nanocomposite shows promising adsorption efficiency and removal of methylene blue.
