Suitability of Video Consultations During the COVID-19 Pandemic Lockdown: Cross-sectional Survey Among Norwegian General Practitioners

Summary: During the COVID-19 pandemic, Norwegian general practitioners experienced a sharp increase in the use of video consultations (VCs), with most GPs finding VCs suitable for assessing patient problems, especially in cases with relational continuity. VCs were found to be most suitable for issues like anxiety, depression, and complex problems requiring multiple follow-up consultations. The study suggests a clear future role for VCs in non-pandemic settings, with the continuity of care playing a significant role in GPs' perceptions of VC suitability.

Impact of COVID-19 on the digital divide: a rapid review
