Nanoscale Zeolitic Imidazolate Framework-8 Activator of Canonical MAPK Signaling for Bone Repair

Xiaomeng Gao et al.

Summary: This study demonstrates that nano ZIF-8 can drive rat bone mesenchymal stem cells differentiation into osteoblasts, with better osteogenic effect compared to ionic conditions of Zn at the same concentration. The cellular uptake mechanisms were revealed to involve caveolae-mediated endocytosis and macropinocytosis. Additionally, transcriptome sequencing identified upregulation of multiple osteogenic pathways, primarily phosphorylating ERK to activate the canonical mitogen-activated protein kinase pathway for promoting osteogenesis.

An investigation on catalytic performance and reaction mechanism of RuMn/meso-TiO2 derived from RuMn intermetallic compounds for methyl ethyl ketone oxidation

Jia Wang et al.

Summary: In this study, RuxMny intermetallic compounds were synthesized using the oil-phase co-reduction strategy, mesoporous titania (meso-TiO2) was prepared via the KIT-6-templating method, and RuxMny/meso-TiO2 catalysts were generated using the impregnation method. Among the samples, Ru25Mn21/meso-TiO2 showed the best catalytic performance, attributed to its well-dispersed nanoparticles and high catalytic activity.
