The Use of Charitable Food Assistance Among Low-Income Households in the United States

Summary: The study found that mobile food pantry users in Windham County have poor diet quality, with inadequate intakes of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and dairy, as well as certain micronutrients. A significant percentage of participants also had intakes below the Estimated Average Requirement for key vitamins and minerals. Sociodemographic factors, such as gender, were found to impact diet quality among this population.
