Microstructure and corrosion properties of AlCrxNiCu0.5Mo (x=0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0) high entropy alloy coatings on Q235 steel by electrospark - Computer numerical control deposition

Xiao-Qin Liu et al.

Summary: Different compositions of AlCrxNiCu0.5Mo (x = 0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0) high-entropy alloys were prepared and their coatings were deposited using electrospark - computer numerical control deposition. Experimental tests showed that the HEA coatings can significantly improve the corrosion resistance of Q235 substrate.

Deformation mechanisms of CoCrFeMnNi high-entropy alloy under low-cycle-fatigue loading

Kaiju Lu et al.

Summary: In this study, the cyclic deformation behavior and microstructural evolution of CoCrFeMnNi high-entropy alloy during low-cycle fatigue were investigated. Results showed that dislocation structures transitioned from planar slip bands to wavy substructures with increasing strain amplitude, and the formation of different dislocation structures was more influenced by the constraints from neighboring grains rather than grain orientation.

Summary: The study investigates the effects of aluminum and chromium content on the corrosion resistance of high entropy alloys. Experimental results suggest that increasing aluminum content and decreasing chromium content lead to a decrease in corrosion resistance of the alloys.
