Identification of molecular anti-metastasis mechanisms of lycorine in colorectal cancer by RNA-seq analysis

Lei Gao et al.

Summary: Lycorine inhibited proliferation and colony formation of CRC cells in a concentration-dependent manner, induced apoptosis, reduced lung metastasis, and suppressed CRC growth by regulating multiple signaling pathways.

Narciclasine inhibits LPS-induced neuroinflammation by modulating the Akt/IKK/NF-κB and JNK signaling pathways

Dong Zhao et al.

Summary: Narciclasine (NA) inhibits pro-inflammatory factors in LPS-induced microglial cells but increases anti-inflammatory cytokines. The study suggests that NA may relieve neuroinflammation by down-regulating the Akt/IKK/NF-kappa B and JNK signaling pathways.

Derivatives of montanine-type alkaloids and their implication for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease: Synthesis, biological activity and in silico study

Negar Maafi et al.

Summary: A total of twenty-eight new derivatives of montanine-type Amaryllidaceae alkaloids were synthesized and evaluated for their inhibitory effects on acetylcholinesterase and butyrylcholinesterase. Three derivatives showed significant selective inhibitory potency for acetylcholinesterase, while one analog demonstrated selective inhibition activity for butyrylcholinesterase. Predictions suggest that these active compounds should be able to pass through the blood-brain barrier.
