Adhesive, reflective, and conductive films comprised of graphene nanosheets decorated with Ag nanoparticles for flexible electronics

Dexin Chen et al.

Summary: A highly adhesive, reflective and conductive graphene-silver composite film was successfully fabricated using electroless plating and spray-spin-spray technique. The composite film showed improvements in peel strength, reflectance, and sheet resistance compared to commercial silver films, as well as maintained good conductive stability after bending and exposure to salt spray environment. These results suggest that the composite films have great potential for applications in flexible electronics.

Facile access to photo-switchable, dynamic-optical, multi-colored and solid-state materials from carbon dots and cellulose for photo-rewritable paper and advanced anti-counterfeiting

Kunfeng Jin et al.

Summary: Dynamic optical materials with photo-switchable and reversible properties were prepared by coating a cellulose derivative with spiropyran on the surface of carbon dots. The resulting materials showed potential applications in functional coatings, inks for photo-rewritable paper, and dynamic anti-counterfeit patterns.

Ultra-high flux alkali-treated cellulose triacetate/cellulose nanocrystal nanocomposite membrane for pervaporation desalination

Indah Prihatiningtyas et al.

Summary: A time-controlled alkaline treatment method was proposed to enhance the water flux of CTA/CNCs nanocomposite membrane without sacrificing its selectivity. Characterization of the membranes revealed a significant improvement in water flux for membranes treated up to 30 minutes under hypersaline water conditions.

Facile fabrication of binary wettability patterned microstructure for microfluidics

Biao Tang et al.

Summary: A study on a simple method for fabricating permanent and contamination-free microstructures with high-contrast wettability by adding a small amount of surfactant to the photoresist was conducted. The results demonstrated that this fabrication approach, without the need for reactive-ion etching, was advantageous for a contamination-free, permanent, simple, reliable, and precise process.
