Tumuc1: A New Accurate DNA Force Field Consistent with High-Level Quantum Chemistry

Summary: The newly developed DNA force field Tumuc1, derived from quantum mechanical calculations, demonstrates excellent performance on a variety of DNA molecules, excelling in accuracy of B-DNA simulations and also performing well on other types of DNA structures and formation processes. It can complement existing force fields to provide an increasingly accurate description of DNA structure and dynamics in simulation studies.

By creating inorganic, silica-based replicas of 3D periodic DNA-NP structures, the formed nanomaterials demonstrate excellent resiliency and stability under extreme conditions. This approach opens up new possibilities for the use of DNA assembly strategies in creating organized nanomaterials for a broad range of operational conditions.
