Resilience is often used to address systemic marginalization in academia, but it inadvertently perpetuates harmful systems. We argue that prioritizing the ability to transform systems, rather than just persisting within them, is crucial for achieving real and lasting change.
Resilience is often invoked to address systemic marginalization (e.g. racism) in academia but inadvertently maintains harmful systems. We argue that the ability to transform systems, as opposed to persevering within them, must be prioritized to make real, lasting change.
