Deformation of a Cu-Pd-P amorphous alloy was studied under various frequencies of mechanical load, showing that the deformation can be interpolated using a hyperbolic function and is influenced by the combination of heating and cyclic mechanical loading.
Deformation of a Cu-Pd-P amorphous alloy is studied under periodical mechanical load (stress/unload cycle with 0.3 Hz or 3 Hz frequency) on heating at the constant rate of 5 K/min. We show that deformation of the material is interpolated with a hyperbolic function of time or temperature. As predicted non-isothermal cyclic deformation takes place with wave effects, which are a result of the combination of heating and cyclic mechanical loading. A reaction force graph of alloy was analysed as a surface with two variable parameters: loading frequency and time. The proposed model describes the resonance processes from the standpoint of non-linear dynamical systems.
