Voltammetric analysis of antihistamine drug cetirizine and paracetamol at poly(L-Leucine) layered carbon nanotube paste electrode

P. A. Pushpanjali et al.

Summary: The study demonstrates the effective detection of cetirizine in the presence of paracetamol using a carbon nanotube paste electrode modified with electrochemically polymerized L-Leucine. By optimizing the experimental conditions, a calibration plot in the concentration range of 5 μM to 50 μM of CTZ was achieved with high recovery rates.

Synthesis of novel poly(methacrylic acid)/β-cyclodextrin dual grafted MWCNT-based nanocomposite and its use as electrochemical sensing platform for highly selective determination of cocaine

Tainara Boareto Capelari et al.

Summary: A novel electrochemical sensing platform based on multi-walled carbon nanotubes grafted with poly(methacrylic acid) and beta-cyclodextrin was developed for highly sensitive and selective cocaine determination in seized samples. The nanocomposite modified electrode showed improved selectivity and sensitivity in cocaine determination due to the synergistic effect of MWCNT, poly(MAA), and beta-CD. The proposed method demonstrated outstanding selectivity towards cocaine even in the presence of common adulterants in seized samples, providing accurate detection results confirmed by HPLC-DAD.

Application of deep eutectic solvent and SWCNT-ZrO2 nanocomposite as conductive mediators for the fabrication of simple and rapid electrochemical sensor for determination of trace anti-migration drugs

Razieh Bavandpour et al.

Summary: A green deep eutectic solvent (DES) and single wall carbon nanotubes decorated by ZrO2 (SWCNT-ZrO2) nanocomposite were synthesized for the modification of a carbon paste electrode (CPE) for the simultaneous determination of paracetamol and rizatriptan. The sensor showed promising results with low limits of detection and relative standard deviations for both drugs, indicating its potential application in clinical and pharmaceutical samples.

Automated liquid-liquid microextraction and determination of sulfonamides in urine samples based on Schiff bases formation in natural deep eutectic solvent media

Firuza Shakirova et al.

Summary: This study presents a novel automated liquid-liquid microextraction method using natural deep eutectic solvent to determine sulfonamides in urine samples. The extraction mechanism was based on the formation of colored Schiff bases, which were confirmed by mass spectrometry. The proposed automated procedure allowed for rapid and accurate determination of sulfamethoxazole, sulfamethazine, or sulfapyridine in urine samples within less than 10 minutes.
