Development and evaluation of a gold nanoparticle based Lateral Flow assay (LFA) strip test for detection of Brucella spp.

Chandan Prakash et al.

Summary: A rapid LFA strip test was developed for detecting Brucella spp. in clinical samples, showing high relative sensitivity and specificity. This test can be used as an efficient penside diagnostic tool for screening brucellosis in animals. It is the first report on the development of GNP-based LFA strip test for Brucella spp. detection in bovine aborted fetal content samples.
