Summary: Through theoretical and quantum chemistry calculations, the mechanism of intermolecular electrostatic interaction-induced room-temperature phosphorescence (RTP) has been elucidated. This mechanism is believed to be essential for understanding persistent organic RTP induced by aggregation/crystal and has been successfully applied in explaining various experiments.
