Impact of Segmented Magnetization on the Flagellar Propulsion of Sperm-Templated Microrobots

Summary: By analyzing the deformation of sperm-templated microrobots with segmented magnetization, this study explores technical design features for improving how a passive elastic filament generates propulsive thrust. External rotating magnetic fields induce passively propagating waves along the length of these microrobots, revealing distinct flow fields, propulsive thrust, and frequency responses during flagellar propulsion. Adjusting the distribution and quantity of magnetic nanoparticles allows for the generation of different wave patterns in microrobots during flagellar motion.

Acoustically Mediated Controlled Drug Release and Targeted Therapy with Degradable 3D Porous Magnetic Microrobots

The PDM offers three different drug release modes that can be selected by ultrasound exposure conditions, and the in vitro test results show different therapeutic effects on cancer cells in each release mode.
