Intra- and Inter-Slice Contrastive Learning for Point Supervised OCT Fluid Segmentation

Xingxin He et al.

Summary: In this paper, an Intra- and inter-Slice Contrastive Learning Network (ISCLNet) is proposed for OCT fluid segmentation with only point supervision. ISCLNet learns visual representation by designing contrastive tasks that exploit the inherent similarity or dissimilarity from unlabeled OCT data. Experimental results on two public OCT fluid segmentation datasets demonstrate that ISCLNet outperforms other point-supervised segmentation methods.

Multi-Scale Pathological Fluid Segmentation in OCT With a Novel Curvature Loss in Convolutional Neural Network

Gang Xing et al.

Summary: In this study, a fully convolutional neural network (FCN) architecture is proposed for the segmentation of pathological fluid lesions in optical coherence tomography (OCT). The proposed method improves the ability of the network to extract multi-scale objects and incorporates shape prior information through a novel curvature regularization term in the loss function, resulting in significantly improved performance compared to state-of-the-art methods.
