Optical properties and laser-induced damage threshold for Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3) O3-based ferroelectric crystals

Weigang Zhao et al.

Summary: This study investigated the optical properties and laser-induced damage thresholds for PMN-based crystals, finding that the pure PMN-based crystals have a significantly higher laser damage threshold compared to doped PMN-based crystals. Thus, pure PMN-based crystals may be the optimal candidates for high-power laser applications.

Reporting Excellent Transverse Piezoelectric and Electro-Optic Effects in Transparent Rhombohedral PMN-PT Single Crystal by Engineered Domains

Chenguang Deng et al.

Summary: In this study, transparent ferroelectric crystals with high piezoelectricity were successfully achieved in [110]-poled rhombohedral PMN-PT crystals. This work provides new insights into ferroelectric domain engineering and emphasizes the relationship between engineered domain structures and piezoelectric properties.
