Collective canard explosions of globally-coupled rotators with adaptive coupling

Marzena Ciszak et al.

Summary: This study demonstrates collective canard explosions in a globally-coupled population of phase-rotators, explaining their emergence in relation to the stability properties of the critical manifold. The analysis of a bimodal Kuramoto model reveals how collective canards gradually emerge in the globally-coupled system with increasing system sizes.

Linear Response for a Family of Self-consistent Transfer Operators

Fanni M. Selley et al.

Summary: The study focuses on the evolution and stability of a system of globally coupled uniformly expanding circle maps. It demonstrates that the system has a unique smooth stable state when the coupling strength is sufficiently small, and this stable state is continuously differentiable with respect to the coupling strength. Additionally, the derivative satisfies a linear response formula that simplifies to a formula reminiscent of linear transfer operators for perturbed expanding circle maps at zero coupling.

A SELF-CONSISTENT DYNAMICAL SYSTEM WITH MULTIPLE ABSOLUTELY CONTINUOUS INVARIANT MEASURES

Fanni M. Selley

Summary: This paper studies a class of self-consistent dynamical systems, focusing on a special case where the dynamics exhibit phase transition-like behavior. The stability of invariant measures is discussed using computer simulations involving numerical representation of the self-consistent transfer operator.
