Modeling and experiment on 3D position and size measurement of opaque droplet cloud with astigmatic dual-beam interferometric particle imaging (ADIPI)

Particle burning behaviors of Al/AP propellant with high-speed digital off-axis holography

Summary: The behavior of aluminum particles during Al/AP propellant combustion is studied using high-speed digital off-axis holography and high-speed microscopic imaging. Off-axis holography suppresses the effects of the enveloping flame, achieving better burning particle imaging. Three-dimensional dynamics of the aluminum particles from a series of time-resolved holograms are analyzed to study the motion behaviors of the particles during combustion.

Dual-sheet interferometric particle imaging for opaque particle size and 2D location measurement

The proposed interferogram processing algorithm shows good accuracy in locating particle position and size.
